EXPLORE YOUR OPTIONS
One challenge that early college students continue to face is what to do when high school students self-select out of the college track because they don’t think higher education is a financial option? For years, many in the college access and success community have said, if only we could let students in middle school know they’d likely be eligible for financial aid, they would make different choices. Here we show you options that can help you get past this thought and move on.
CREATE A PLAN
Like piecing together a puzzle, there isn’t just a single right place to start and you never know which piece makes you one step closer to completing it.
Take advantage of College Fairs, high school fairs and other opportunities where you can meet and greet and learn more about what you really want. They are usually free and can sometimes offer great information and even freebies. Check with your high school counselors, talk to them about what they know, where to go, where to get more information. More questions, more information, better understanding on whats best and next for your future.
